Sophia Brooks, President & CEO
Founder, Sophia Brooks incorporated Global Learning Partners in 1996 with one simple intention. To help people and organizations achieve their greatness. Years later the goal is the same.
Sophia is recognized as a highly successful businesswoman, author, keynote speaker and respected leadership coach. With more than twenty years experience as a master trainer she has trained thousands of people throughout the United States.
Sophia has held international management positions for two global Fortune 500 corporations. She has presented training programs and strategic initiatives to international audiences.
Sophia completed her undergraduate work at Maryville University, St. Louis, Missouri. She studied the Spanish culture in Mexico, at the University of Mexico. With numerous certificates and licenses she believes in continuous learning.
She has received many rewards, recognitions and nominations including the prestigious “Creating the Future” Award, The Inland Empire Leaders of Distinction “Innovation/Pioneer Award”. She was nominated many times for Los Angeles Business Journals’ “Women Making a Difference”.

Carrie D Cheley, MA OL
Consultant, Executive Trainer

Certified Instructor with over twelve years experience in developing and implementing training on Multicultural Awareness, Affirmative Action, and Sexual Harassment Awareness and Prevention. Mark Gantt, B.S.
Mark Gantt brings over 25 years of domestic and international leadership and training experience to GLP. As Vice President General Manager for the largest family owned and operated material supplier in Southern CA growing the business to over 24 million dollars during his tenure. Developing leaders, creating momentum, uncovering resources, are the “watch words” for Mark. He is a keynote speaker and leadership facilitator, bringing sound principles and processes to organizations helping them through these complex times. Mark earned his B.A. from Biola University.
Carolyn K Ortman, MBA
International Trainer, Consultant
Carolyn is an international trainer and marketer with over 17 years of experience. As a former instructor for Dale Carnegie training, she has coached company managers and executives on leadership, communication and human relations principles and skills. Recognized as a motivated and energetic international presenter and trainer, she leads workshops in Public Speaking, Conflict Management, and Professional Communication Skills and Customer Service. Carolyn earned her Masters degree in Marketing from California State University, San Bernardino.
Merrick Woodard, B.S.
Merrick Woodard is a high energy dedicated and organized business professional using his – University of Tulsa, Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree to support research and development daily operational business functions. Merrick frequently participates as a panelist for “Working with the Generations in the Workplace.” He is a master with delivering the principles of understanding the dynamics of Generation Y.
